The Customer Care Store Support internship role is designed to foster an opportunity to gain valuable experience in understanding NAPA’s POS systems and customers. This is how we build and support strong systems to ensure it’s simple and easy for customers’ to purchase their parts from NAPA and gives us the competitive advantage.  This role will also allow you to gain experience in documentation, project management and organizational skills.  You will align with our NAPA Know How” and gain insight on how to: build customer relationships, gain sales shares, listen to customer needs and assist with solutions and input. 

You will be part of our team to serve our customers by being on customer calls, documenting action items/status. You will learn the basics of NAPA Stores POS stystem, Networking/VPN, computer hardware troublshooting (printers, workstations, servers). Learn basic Unix commands and SQL. how NAPA builds integrations and provides B2B commerce for orders, pricing, parts availability and invoicing. Understand business integrations and their functions to provide ideas on elimination of administrative work.

You will also learn business functions such as Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and Invoicing. Assist and identify what processes could potentially be automated to eliminate administrative workload on our APAR team. This position includes an introduction and exposure to many aspects of Orders to Cash. Getting the order from the customer, ensuring part is in the right place at the right time, and ensuring we flawlessly bill the customer so NAPA is paid on time and correctly - all through electronic integrations 


  • Internship for Customer Care Store Support will support:

  • Assist NAPA Stores in technical support on TAMS POS systems 

  • TAMS installations and Customer Support

  • Network/VPN

  • Computer hardware issues

  • Monday – Friday

  • 7am-5pm

  • Proactively support Major Accounts and IBS Sales team and customers


  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree 

  • Knowledge of IT Services, networking, SQL, Unix

  • Visio, Excel, Powerpoint, Word - MS Office Suite

  • Clarity or MS Project

  • Must have excellent communication skills and good corporate etiquette

  • Must be able to take direction and demonstrate initiative for assigned tasks

  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
